Full Internal Door Replacement (11 doors supplied and fitted)

Martin replaced all 11 of our internal doors including supply, hanging, fixtures and fittings and disposal of the old doors. We are absolutely delighted with the result, and found Martin to be a pleasure to deal with throughout the process, from enquiry, throughout the working phase to completion. Internal Door Replacement & Frame Repairs

Cannot fault Martin's work from start to finish. We had 4 internal doors that were looking tired and two of the frames required timber repairs.

Martin came out to look at the job and spent time carefully measuring everything up and came back to us the next day with a quote for labour and materials.

The doors look lovely with the new black hardware and once everything is painted, the frame repairs he carried out will be unnoticeable.

Without a doubt an expert in his field and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others.

Traditional-Style Internal Door Upgrade (7 doors)

Martin did an excellent job replacing 7 tired old internal doors with new ones on a traditional style that Martin himself selected and recommended. Martin also fitted shelves and improved some poorly fitting hatches. Martin's craftsmanship is outstanding. He is a thoughtful tradesman and I would not hesitate to recommend Martin and Shearline Solutions.

Understairs Ceiling Alteration & Lock Upgrade

We have now used him for two separate jobs in our home, raising the ceiling in an awkward space under the stairs in our bathroom and installing a new lock on our door, and we genuinely could not be happier with the results.

The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. The ceiling alteration was not a straightforward task, and the photos really do not show just how awkward the angle and space are. Despite this, the finish is seamless and beautifully executed. Everything feels solid, precise and professionally done, and it is clear that real care and skill went into the work.

When fitting the new lock, he took the time to properly explain the different options and helped us choose the most appropriate and secure solution for our home, rather than simply installing the quickest option. That level of thoughtfulness and professionalism really stood out.

He was punctual, reliable and a pleasure to deal with throughout. His pricing felt fair and entirely reasonable for the quality of work delivered, and we felt it offered excellent value.

It is rare to find someone who combines such high quality craftsmanship with genuine pride in their work. We would not hesitate to use him again and would confidently recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled and trustworthy carpenter.

Bathroom Door Replacement

Replaced bathroom door. Martin was an excellent communicator answering emails very quickly. Showed up when he said , fitted the door perfectly with quality fittings and completely cleaned up afterwards. Well deserved 5 Stars

Bathroom Mortice Locks Fitted

Had the locks replaced on both the upstairs bathroom and downstairs toilet as neither door would shut.
The job wasn't quite what was expected as it turned out the wrong sort of lock had been fitted originally and it involved more work than I expected.
The job was done very neatly and any mess tidied away and all vacuumed up.
Both doors now shut and stay shut easily.
Very pleased and would recommend.
